Italo Cuneo is doing a PhD. in Horticulture and Agronomy at UCDavis. He holds a bachelor and professional degree in Agriculture from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso, Chile. Italo’s main area of specialization is water-use efficiency of vineyard ecosystems and his academic interests include rootstock water transport physiology and rootstock physiological response in water stress scenarios. Italo currently holds a fellowship from the Chilean Government.
Carlos Flores is currently finishing his PhD. in Hydrologic Sciences at UCDavis. He holds a bachelor and professional degree in Agriculture from Universidad Mayor, Chile. Carlos’ research focuses on hydrologic modeling of conjunctive water management strategies for watershed sustainable development. He currently holds a fellowship from the Chilean Government and is known in Davis for being the "Chinos Weros" lead guitarist.
Nicolás Bambach is a PhD. student in the program of Atmospheric Sciences at UCDavis. His research focuses on Land – Atmospheric Processes in Mediterranean Ecosystems for the project "The Future of Ecosystems and Extremes: Using Diverse Environmental Data Sets in Support of Regional to Global Earth-System Models and Predictions." He also has experience on topics related to climate change impacts on agriculture, water resources, forestry, and native ecosystems. Nicolas is currently a Fulbright scholar and holds a fellowship from the Chilean government.
ChileGlobal Seminars - UCD is a series of seminars organized by the ChileanStudent’s Association at UC Davis and sponsored by ChileGlobal. The seminars aim to discuss and share ongoing researches of Chilean and non-Chilean PhD Students, postdocs and faculties in UC Davis on areas of high impact on Chile.
