I'm interested on promoting the sustainable use of soils and natural resources in agriculture, specially in the context of small/subsistence farmers. I'm interested on study how different agroecological practices, such as crop diversification, cover crops, crop rotations and organic matter incorporation, affect soil physical properties and fertility, as well as the yield response of them in the long term. My focus are small and subsistence farmers because due to the promotion of agricultural "industrialization", their systems are disappearing and with that, all the traditional knowledge is in risk of disappearing too.
